1) Identify the mating connection (what must it connect to?)
Confirm whether you’re connecting to a valve outlet, hydrant, nozzle, sprinkler header, camlock manifold, or a standard hose bib. If the jobsite already has legacy hardware, match that first—then plan adapters only where they’re truly needed.
2) Confirm the standard (don’t rely on “common size” language)

3) Select the end style that matches operations
